Do you feel like your kitchen is looking tired and ready for an update, but you don’t have the time or money for a complete kitchen revamp. Never fear, below we have a few tips that can help you transform your existing space without breaking the bank.
Change the existing handles – The cheapest and by far the easiest way to update your kitchen is by simply changing the handles on your existing kitchen doors. We stock a variety of options and chances are you should be able to go into full DIY mode and do it yourself with relative ease… something so small can actually make a big difference if you are looking for a fresh new kitchen handle look. Tip: Try and avoid drilling too many fresh new holes into your kitchen doors and/or aim for a new handle that covers any old drill holes
Update your cabinet doors – If your current kitchen units are still in good condition then changing the door fronts is a much more cost-effective option than forking out for a full kitchen revamp. Most wear and tear occurs to kitchen doors and not the cabinets. If you are planning on keeping costs down its worth considering whether you want to leave the existing end panels; if you do then choose a style and colour that matches any that are visible
Replace your worktop – Along with updating your cabinet doors, changing your worktops can completely transform your kitchen. We stock a huge selection of worktops to choose from with a wide variety of finishes and styles to suit everyone’s taste and budget, so if you are going for a totally on-trend kitchen opt for a solid surface which has the added benefits of being wiped clean and resistant to bacteria, they’re a brilliant choice for any home. However, if you are looking for a more traditional option you may be more suited to our wide range of laminate worktops that come in a variety of thicknesses and finishes.
Install a new tap – There are so many amazing tap options these days, from your more standard mixer taps, to taps with clever filtration systems that ensure your water is purified, and not forgetting the state-of-the-art hot water taps. You could certainly make your kitchen look super chic by installing one of our fabulous taps. Tip: When buying a new tap it’s a good idea to check the drill hole required in your worktop to make sure your new choice doesn’t require any additional drilling. Don’t forget to check the minimum bar pressure too
